Prepare for NAVC’s tryouts in two steps!

1. Register online with NAVC by clicking on the REGISTRATION link at the top of the web page.
2. Register with the USAV Southern region and bring printed, signed USAV and Medical Release forms with you to tryouts.  Instructions here.

All NAVC Callbacks will take place at Mt. Vernon High School

Tryout Fees are $40 when prepaid online and $50 CASH at door.  This fee includes a NAVC t-shirt which must be worn both nights of try-outs.

On Site Check–in:
The Registration Desk will open 1 hour prior to the first session of each tryout.  Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled tryout time to ensure you have all forms filled out, time to stretch and be ready to step on the court at the time of try-outs.

Tryout Process:
Per SRVA Regulations: “There will be no less than a 10-day try-out period that starts after each state’s high school championship for 9th through 12th grade students with NO non-refundable fee greater then $50 collectible during that period.  No player may be required to make a greater financial or player commitment to a club until 10 days after that state’s high school championship.” 

Tryout for the State of Georgia for 15’s-18’s 10/30/11-11/8/11 and for 12’s thru 14’s 10/15/11 until 11/8/11.  Commitments are allowed 11/9/11 or after.

At the end of the first day of tryouts a Callback list will be posted for the second night. 
At the end of the second day of tryouts-after the coaches meet and post the team list, there will be a short team meeting.  We will ask all players to advise us of their decision at that point in time; to accept an offer to player with NAVC, to tryout with other clubs, or to decline an offer to play with NAVC.  We understand that you may change your mind, but if you are certain that you are or are not going to accept, it will help us understand how it affects other athletes your age.  Again, you are free to commit or not! 

Every player will leave knowing which team they will play on IF they choose to commit to that team.
November 9, 2011 is the first day, based on SRVA rules, a player can be required to make a commitment to a particular Club.  We encourage players who are interested in doing so to compare NAVC to other clubs prior to that time, and then return for the Commitment Night.  On Commitment Night, NAVC will be announcing all members of its 12-18 year old teams.  If a player does not attend the night of November 9th (and has not made prior arrangements with her coach), the player’s spot will be allocated to another individual.

In order to secure a spot on an NAVC team, a payment of $700 will be required on Commitment Night.  This payment will be applied to the club fee.

Age Definitions-From USA Volleyball:
18 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after September 1, 1993 or Players who were born on or after September 1, 1992 and a high school student (12th grade or below) during some part of the current academic year.

17 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after September 1, 1994

16 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after September 1, 1995

15 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after September 1, 1996

14 and Under Divisions: Players who were born on or after September 1, 1997

13 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after September 1,1998

12 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after September 1, 1999

11 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after September 1, 2000
